I am in love with this new Ball® FreshTECH Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker!  It’s so easy to use and it makes jam in 30 minutes!  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

The folks from Ball® sent me this Jam Maker to review.  Let’s take a close look!

IMG_2515

The buttons couldn’t be any easier!  If you want to make JAM, you just need to hit the JAM button and then ENTER.

IMG_2520

This is what the base looks like.

IMG_2523

The nonstick bowl fits easily onto the base.

IMG_2529

The stirrer fits right on the center post.

IMG_2532

The lid has vent holes around the edge.  The lid is not always needed, so you need to check the recipe to be sure.

IMG_2592

I made my first Apple Jelly ever!  The recipe came from the Sweet and Simple Recipe Booklet that comes with the Jam & Jelly Maker.  No lid needed for this jelly recipe.

IMG_2594

Apple jelly has always been one of my favorites, but I never made it because it seemed too complicated.  Well, this recipe came out just like the store-bought Apple Jelly that I buy. I chose to make the Reduced Sugar version and I LOVE IT!

CanitforwardIMG_2604

I processed the jelly using the boiling water method in the recipe booklet.

IMG_2561

By the way, this is the Pectin I used for the jelly and jam.

Here are some photos that I took when making Peach Jam!

IMG_0562

I used the reduced sugar Peach Jam recipe in the recipe booklet.  This recipe needs the lid on while cooking.

IMG_0566

I highly recommend using the Ball® funnel when pouring your hot food into the hot jars.  You’ll save a lot of time!

This green basket is part of the giveaway (below)!  I love it!

My yummy Peach Jam!

This is the first time I make “reduced sugar” jam and jelly.  I’m amazed at how sweet and normal it tastes!  Apparently, I didn’t need to use so much sugar in my jam all these years!

I can’t say enough about this Ball® FreshTECH Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker!  I’m totally impressed with it!  It assembles quickly and it’s a breeze to clean!

See it in action!

The Ball® FreshTECH Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker is available at Amazon.com.

I’ve canned Blueberry & Strawberry jams & also made Strawberry-Orange Marmalade. I’ve always wanted to try pickles. My grandmother used to make Watermelon Pickles & Chow Chow. I’d like to try her recipes & I know my family would love it if I made Bread & Butter Pickles.

I’ve only made strawberry jam but want to expand my pantry I love seeing the colorful jars others do. It is on my “must do” list. What an awesome giveaway. I’m planning on participating in the Can It Forward day.

  8. 18

I have canned everything from jams and jellies. I have canned zucchini relish, hot peppers, pasta sauce, stewed tomatoes, pickles, hot mustard, applesauce, apples for pie. We have a large garden and I can fresh vegetables every year.

  9. 22

    Charlotte Moore says

I have canned green beans, squash relish, corn relish, bread and butter pickles, pickled okra, tomatoes, peach butter, and blackberry jam.

  10. 27

I go to college in a rural town with lots of farming and fresh produce markets! Winning this would be an awesome way for me to help support local businesses as well as eat healthy and cheaply. I would love to try canning all different types of jams for the winter.

  13. 32

    Patty Jensen says

I love making Chocolate Jam and Bacon Jam. Not sure why I did not start with the more “traditional” jam/jellies……….but I am dying to make some Peach Jam. The peaches right now are so flavorful. Thanks for the contest!

  14. 33

    Sharon O. says

I’ve canned strawberry jam, tomatoes, beets, green beans, and apple pie filling. It’s been a while since I’ve done any canning though. I need to get back to it. Thanks!

  15. 34

    Stephanie says

I always can pickles as my husband loves them, but my favorite thing to can is tomato sauce. I make it by roasting tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil and anything else I want to throw in (mushrooms are good!) in the oven until everything is soft, then I blend it all up and can it. It’s so good!

  16. 36

    Ellen Wexler says

Oh, my goodness! What a WONDERFUL giveaway. I am hoping like mad to get lucky here. Thank you so much for the chance to win. I once made apple jelly with a rose geranium leaf in each jar. It was so pretty and SO delicious. I do love to mix a couple of fruits in jam. I won’t say how long it has been since I made jam, etc. This prize would have me making many Christmas gifts from our Michigan bounty.

  17. 38

    Sarah Newton says

What a great product! It would be great to have running on the side as you processed other things in your water bath or pressure cooker. So you could do jars of peach pie filling, and your ‘bits and pieces’ you could throw into this little genius to make jam for you at the same time! Awesome way to to preserve the whole harvest. Hope to win!

  18. 41

    says

I have made freezer jam - strawberry and blueberry. It was my first time making it and I used my crock pot. This looks so cool! I hope I win! :)

We have a small garden, but it produces a lot of veges. I started canning for the first time a couple years ago and get a real kick out of it. I’ve canned tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, okra, green beans, pickles and beets. I’ve also made freezer jam and preserves. Thinking about canning fruit next year if our trees produce enough.

  23. 51

    Jean Whitaker says

I had to quit canning when I moved as I had no room for my caning stuff-this will be ideal for a small space such as mine!!! My kids miss the pickles and such I used to can-so do I!!

  24. 52

    David says

We just moved to a new State in the midwest, so now we will finally be able to grow our own garden because our previous home did not allow it. I grew up in a canning household and I look forward to harvesting our first crop and preparing them for the winter.

  38. 92

I have never canned in my kitchen. My grandmothers did. My grandmother’s canned “tomato relish” (think delicious salsa) was a favorite among my friends when I was a teenager. The whole process completely skipped my mother’s generation, and I’d love to revive the tradition for my and my daughter’s generations.
