THIS GIVEAWAY IS OVER!

You can never have enough slow cooker recipes as far as I’m concerned!  So if you love your slow cooker like I do, I have a great giveaway for ya!

About the Book

10th Anniversary Edition!

The first edition of The 150 Best Slow Cooker Recipes has 425,000 copies in print and has been an outstanding success. A lot has changed since then, from our tastes and interests in healthier food to a much wider range of slow cookers, so we decided to revisit this bestseller. The result is a sensational slow cooker book that reflects today’s home cook.

This updated and revised edition features nearly 100 of your original favorites, plus an additional 75 new recipes that have been carefully sourced and selected by the author from some of her previous bestsellers. It means more fish, seafood and vegetarian/vegan favorites, as well as more whole-grain offerings – this is important as more and more people are eating vegetarian at least some of the time and are consistently looking for lighter and healthier options. People are also broadening the use of their slow cookers and often employing them for entertaining.

And, in a nod to the slow cooker’s humble beginnings, we’ve added more than a dozen sumptuous and tantalizing chili recipes, since nothing compares to chili prepared in a slow cooker. Every chapter has been revisited, updated and expanded.

Some of the recipes include:

·       Kid’s Favorite Fondue
·       Pumpkin Soup with Shrimp and Lime
·       Two Bean Turkey Chili
·       Short Ribs with Orange Gremolata
·       Chinese-Style Braised Pork
·       Zesty Seafood Chowder
·       Mushroom and Artichoke Lasagna
·       New Potato Curry
·       Delectable Apple-Cranberry Coconut Crisp
·       Just Peachy Gingerbread Upside-Down Cake

Here’s what I made!

I never made chicken and dumplings in my slow cooker before, so I tried out the Chicken ‘n’ Dumplings on page 170.  I really liked it!  It’s a great recipe for this time of year!

This cookbook has nearly 300 pages with many gorgeous photos.  It has every recipe you can imagine.  The recipes are not complicated and use every day ingredients found in your kitchen.  I love the additional “Make Ahead” feature on many of the recipes!  There are helpful Tips that go with each recipe and it indicates if the recipe can be halved.  This cookbook is going to get a  lot of use in my house.  I highly recommend it!
