Warm, delicious Mixed Berry Hand pies with homemade jam is the perfect summer treat!  Last week I showed you how to make your own jam and today we are featuring it in these flaky hand pies.  I started out with a simple puff pastry dough because I wanted a light and fluffy dough that didn’t take away from the berries.  If you’re in a pinch, you could use crescent roll or pie dough, but puff pastry tastes the best and it’s really not complicated at all.  To that you’ll fill the dough with some fresh berries and the jam we made last week.  Crimp it all together, bake and you end up with a flaky hand pie.  Make sure you have your homemade jam and homemade puff pastry on hand at all times, so you can whip up these delicious treats any time!
