It’s no big secret, we LOVE cheese in the Doiron house.  We’ll melt cheese on just about anything!  So guess who was thrilled when they got some new cheese to review?  Yup, I was one happy camper when my “Melt Your Meal Kit” arrived!

Before I get into the giveaway, let me share a little bit about Roth Grand Cru® cheese.  There are three Grand Cru® choices - Original, Reserve, and Surchoix.

Grand Cru® is Roth’s signature cheese. It’s made with the freshest milk in imported copper vats and aged in their cellars for at least 4 months. Robust and full-bodied, this award-winning cheese melts beautifully and will soon become one of your favorite cheeses to cook with.

Before I cooked with this cheese, Dave and I enjoyed some a lot of cheese and crackers.  What can I say, I have to review it and give my honest opinion!

1kIMG_1757

Grand Cru® cheese is very mild and addicting with crackers.  With it’s mild taste, I would imagine that it would be very popular with the kiddos.

IMG_1800

Grand Cru® Original cheese is recommended in potato dishes, so I made some Scalloped Potatoes using 1½ cups of shredded cheese.

It came out great!  This cheese really does melt nicely!

Our family sounds like yours.. we LOVE cheese here. I do not get the people who think “stay away from dairy” who include hard, aged cheeses in the ban… Aged cheeses are an ancient food that is a basic thing! Not one thing wrong with aged cheeses! They are in fact VERY good for you. I have SO many recipes I do not know what I would do with this cheese at this moment. One of my favs is a pasta/brocolli/bacon bits cheese one. Yum

I love to snack on cheese and crackers….what i do is find a really nice cracker to try and lay numerous ones out on a microwave dish and drop a small amount of Billy Bees honey mustard on each one and then slices of cheese on top…into the microwave for a short time and i am all set to indulge. There is a new Ritz cracker out that i have not tried yet, bacon flavored, and this sounds like a marvelous combination. Thank you for this opportunity.
