Last May, I had the pleasure of going to Boston with some local bloggers to see a demo of the NEW Ninja Cooking System. As I watched the demonstration, I was so impressed with how versatile it is and now I’m so excited to have this cooking system in my own kitchen!

The Ninja Cooking System is completely awesome!  It has a stovetop setting so you can brown your meat or sauté vegetables AND a slow cooking setting.  I LOVE IT!!  You can also do steam infused roasting and you can actually bake small, moist cakes and desserts!  Check out this video.

The control settings couldn’t be easier to use.

The cooking system will go into auto warm
when the set cooking time in Slow Cook mode is over.

This is the heating unit inside of the cooking system.

I LOVE this light weight cooking pot.

It’s so much easier to lift and clean than those heavy ceramic inserts I’ve had in the past.

I made Smothered Pork Chops to demonstrate the stovetop and slow cook settings.

Pull up a chair!  There’s quite  a few photos!

I made the entire recipe in this cooking pot!  Yep, no other pans to wash!

First, I browned some chopped bacon on the (HIGH) stovetop setting
(to be used later in the recipe).

It started cooking immediately.  I didn’t have to wait for it to get going.

I removed the cooked bacon and placed it on paper towels.

Once the bacon was cooled, I kept it refrigerated for later.

I carefully soaked up some of the bacon grease with paper towels and browned two pork chops at a time.

I set the browned pork chops aside.

Next, I added some sliced onions and a small amount of water.

I stirred them occasionally and removed them when they were slightly browned.

I put the pork chops back in and covered them with the onions.

I added the rest of the ingredients and put the lid on it.

I switched to the (HIGH) Slow Cook setting and cooked them for 4 hours.

This picture doesn’t do it justice, but the Smothered Pork Chops were fantastic! I actually removed the pork and thickened up the sauce with a mixture of corn starch and water. It thickened up nicely by putting it back on the (HIGH) Stovetop setting as I stirred the sauce. I put the pork back in the pot and topped it with the bacon pieces that I warmed up in the microwave. It was so good!

        Sheri,
The insert is very light and thin, so it’s easier to drain than ceramic inserts.

Last Christmas I purchased something similiar to this. I had a stroke and can’t cook on the stove or use my oven due to left side weakness and burning myself. First time I plugged it to use it was 3 months later and the store wouldn’t allow a refund or exchange due to being purchased prior to Christmas 🙁 So now I’m back to microwave cooking only….blahhhhhhh!! GOOD LUCK TO WHOMEEVER WINS THIS BEAUTY!!!!!!

I’m fighting lung cancer now n now just got out of the ICU for diabetes n I’m in an electric chair also. You just don’t understand how having this would change my life n be so easy in me. This is an awesome invention n I love my dear Crock pot to death it’s about 13 years old. There’s nothing I could not really say more except that I use my crock pot at least 5 days a week if not more. This is something I so would trade my first born for, lol. This just sounds perfect for our family of 6. We have a very, very small kitchen, and just the sink gets piled up high after cooking for each meal with the pans and things used to prepare the meal.
This looks like it would be so useful and easy to use, and to be able to do so many things in the same place would be fantastic. Our crockpot is too small, and having to brown meat in a seperate pan always is a bit of a bother. This would be a welcome new appliance to our home.

I am new to blogging and to using a slow cooker. I love the idea of a slow cooker but always hated recipes that had you cook half the meal then put it in the Slow cooker. Why not just finish it on the stove or in the oven rather than dirty another pot? I love the idea of the Ninja. Truly a one pot meal. I just bought a new slow cooker with the aluminum insert and it is wonderful. SO light, easy to clean and I am not afraid of dropping it and chipping or breaking it. If only mine could fry bacon like the ninja!

I would love to have one of these it would cut my cooking time and clean up. It always is never enough time to finish my cooking before the kids come home. And this would be wonderful to cook in when my son and his friends come home on the weekend from collage. Which is usually every weekend. I really think this a great product from what I’ve seen on T.V. And I also have the blender but it was too expensive for me to buy it off the T.V. so one while out at the yard sale a came across one steal in the box. (Yes, and this was 1 1/2 years after it came out.) And just then the lady came over and said I’ve only used that one time I’am just don’t need no blender. She said if you want it u can have it for $10. I said yes of course I do. Theres more and she said if you get it home and it dosen’t work bring it back and I’ll give u your money back. Well lets just say Go Ninja,Go Ninja,Go Ninja.

    Well thanks for reading,
Have a bless day cause I surely was.
