Let’s face it, we’re all busy and I know myself I’m so grateful for easy recipes. With four kids involved in a lot of activities, I don’t always have the time to make an extravagant dessert, but that doesn’t mean we go without. I just take simple ingredients and turn them into something special.
The other day I was at Walmart and noticed they had the new Smucker’s Fruit & Honey spread. It comes in four flavors: Triple Berry, Tropical, Strawberry, and Blueberry Lemon. They are naturally sweetened with honey which I was very excited to try. I picked up the Tropical using my Ibotta coupon, and as soon as I got home I got to work. These little danishes came together quickly and were the perfect accompaniment to friends, family and a cup of tea.
- 2 sheets Puff Pastry, thawed
- Smucker's Fruit & Honey Spread, I used Tropical
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- powdered sugar (optional)
- Unfold the puff pastry sheets; cut into quarters.
- Take a tablespoon of fruit & honey spread and place in the center of each square.
- Whisk together the egg and milk.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash.
- Fold the dough over diagonally and crimp the edges closed.
- Place onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes; until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool.
- Before serving, dust with powdered sugar.
