When it comes to baking with nuts, I have to say that I’m quite a walnut fan. My mom used walnuts in her baked goods, so I guess walnuts have always been my go-to nut for baking. Whenever I make cookies that have no nuts in the recipe, I feel like something’s missing.
Here are some recipes on my blog that have walnuts in them. All of these bread recipes make great holiday gifts when you use those cute ceramic bread pans and wrap them in cellophane and a pretty bow. Of course, the mini breads don’t take as much time to cook, so you just need to lower the cooking time and test with a tooth pick to make sure they’re done.
This recipe uses sliced or slivered almonds.
I have been using Fisher Nuts in all of my holiday baking and love using the cooking tools in this prize pack!

A friend gave me this idea. She said take a pretzel the round small kind, put a rolo candy on top put in oven for 2 minutes then put a pecan (or walnut) on top and press down, sounds yummy.

My banana nut bread. It is awesome and I wouldn’t dream of making it without walnuts.
I will be making sage and onion stuffing but I add walnuts to it because we really enjoy the flavor combination.
