Dinner at O’Connor’s

Dave and I weren’t able to celebrate Valentine’s Day last weekend due to his bad cold.  So we went out today for an early dinner at O’Connor’s!  I took these pictures with my cell phone, so they’re not very good.

O’Connor’s Restaurant is located in Worcester, MA about 45 minutes from my house.

We ordered the usual drinks…a Fuzzy Navel and a Black & Tan.

I had a $60 Gift Card to use up, so we ordered a delicious appetizer - Potato Skins with cheese, bacon, and green onions.

Oh man!  This picture came out so dark!  I had salmon with red smashed potatoes and a blend of fresh vegetables.  (I’m not sure what the seasonings were in the vegetables, but I just didn’t care for them.)  The salmon and potatoes were delish!

Dave had a really good chicken pot pie!  The crust was nice and flaky.  I know…I had a few bites!

Dave and I were too full for dessert.  Maybe next time!

As a lifelong foodie and a viewer of Hell’s Kitchen and other cooking shows, I find myself wondering what the restaurant’s kitchen is like when I’m dining out. Is it hectic back there? Is everything running smoothly? I guess I watch too much TV! Do you ever think of those things?

Jane, this looks really good. I love Chicken Pot Pie. I’ll have to remember this place in case I’m out in Worcester some time.

    Hi Jane!

We have gone to O’conners before. Have you ever been to Old Travelers in Clinton, MA? Another nice Irish restaurant. Grant said his buddy went and they happened to run out of Guinness. So he asked, “Isn’t like a Cardinal sin for a place like this to run out of Guinness???? lol!

Oh Jane - how fun! I giggled over your taking pictures of all the food…wonder what the waiters thought eh??? Too cute! Looks like a great meal - and a gift card too! Good for you! I DO wonder about what’s going on in the kitchen at times too. Hope ou both stay well…spring is just around the corner.
