Last Friday, I drove to Hudson, MA with my friend Kristi from Moms Own Words, to attend a BJ’s Back to School Blogger Tour. I’m a member and a big fan of BJ’s! Headquartered in Westborough, MA, BJ’s is a leading operator of warehouse clubs in the eastern U.S., currently with 195 clubs and 107 gas stations in 15 states. Check out their website.
It was nice to see the other bloggers on the tour!
We checked out some really great back-to-school items. I found these JUMBO Book Sox (book covers). I teach second grade and some of my students have a hard time finding this size for their books. I’ll have to spread the word where to find them!
On the tour, I learned that I can use manufacturers coupons in addition to the BJ’s in-store coupons! Take for example this 5 pack of Degree. If you could sell these individually, BJ’s will except 5 coupons for this package in addition to their in-store coupon! (As long as you don’t exceed the actual retail price in the total value of the coupons.)

I love buying in bulk. My son Andrew is going away to college in about a month, so I was checking out all the things he’ll be needing. I bought a few things for him… a 3 pack of deoderant and a 3 pack of body wash. That should hold him for a while!
Here are some staples that I buy at BJ’s…large spices or vanilla extract, peanut butter, and ketchup.
At the end of our tour, one of the BJ Reps prepared 3 tasty sandwiches which can be found in the BJ’s Member Fall Journal.

Favorite things to buy at BJ’s…..as a mother of 2 boys, buying in bulk is where it’s at ~ grateful that I have the storage….Nutella, syrup, peanut butter, Mandarin orange chicken…..LOVE IT!

I love BJ’s and go there for so much, including gas. In fact I really like their deli meats…they are delicious and so much more affordable than the supermarket. Plus, they have things the grocery store doesn’t always carry. I also love their cakes…ordered my son’s birthday cake at BJ’s and it did not disappoint.
I’m a member at Costco but we have a new BJ’s. This would be a good reason to check it out!

I just found the closest BJ’s to my town. I have went with a friend. I bought paper napkins, coffee,sugar, and snacks. I will go to join and buy many staples for our family. It is such a savings,not only in money but time too.

There are no BJs here in Los Angeles…. I’m a working single mom with a high energy and possibly gifted soon-to-be first grader. We “bento” every day for camp during summer and look forward to bento’ing 3-5x/week for school in the fall.
