Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with these Simple Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars! These only require a few ingredients, and in a matter of minutes you’ll be enjoying a delicious dessert. The cheesecake center is a tad sweet with a hint of vanilla and the top is loaded with cinnamon and sugar. Once it’s baked the topping gets a crunch to it that makes this dessert divine! Simple Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars are the perfect way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo…enjoy

Sopapilla Bars

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 C powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (8 ounce) Crescent Rolls
  • 1/4 C butter, melted
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla together; set aside.
  2. In a greased 8 x 8″ pan, place half of the crescent rolls; pressing seams together.
  3. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture on top.
  4. Take the remaining crescent rolls and place on top making sure the seams are together and the edges are tucked in.
  5. Pour the melted butter on top.
  6. Sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon and sugar on top.
  7. Bake 25-28 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

    WOW! No eggs! Would never thought cream cheese and sugar would make a texture like this.
