Holland House® Cooking Wines is excited to team up with April Moore, host of YouTube cooking show “COOKwithAPRIL,” and demonstrate how easy it is to add bold flavor to everyday meals. I received samples of Holland House® Cooking Wines (which come in Marsala and Red), and this delicious recipe that I get to share it with you. Please note that even though I received the samples, the opinions expressed are my own.
This recipe is quite simple to prepare, and it’s perfect for the holiday season. You toss the ingredients into your slow cooker, and in a matter of a few hours you’ll end up with a delicious, tender roast with onions, carrots and red potatoes. I must say, this roast is amazing! The flavor of the wine comes through, however it’s not over powering at all, and the roast literally fell apart it was so tender. This will definitely be on the menu rotation from now on.
- 3 lb pot roast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- Salt, pepper
