Sandwich Ideas

I’d like to share a link to a great sandwich shop at a local farmstand in my area.  Mill No. 3 Farmstand has special names for their sandwiches.  The sandwich I made above is called the “Boulder.”  It has chicken salad, lettuce, Granny Smith apple slices, and Havarti cheese.  (I guess I forgot to add the lettuce in mine!  Oops!)  If you place the cursor over the sandwich name on the menu, you can see a picture of their sandwich.  Anyway, the sandwich names have a special meaning in our area.  For instance, the “Boulder” represents a huge boulder that sits next to a gazebo on Main St.  The “Nash” is named after the Nashua River that runs through the city and the “Cleghorn” is a particular neighborhood within the city.  I thought that was pretty creative!

The reason why I wanted to share this menu link with you is because I thought it would give everyone a few more sandwich ideas to make during the hot summer.  I know I’m going to try out some of them myself especially when it’s just Dave and I eating alone.  Now that Matthew is living 3 1/2 hours away on Long Island and Andrew just got his first job life guarding, there’s really no need to make a big dinner for Dave and I especially on a hot evening.

I hope the sandwich menu gives you some new ideas!

By the way…you can still add your sandwich recipes to my ongoing linky HERE!

This sandwich sounds delish! I wouldnt have thought to put in granny smiths, but I do love them and I do love chicken salad. This sounds like a perfect summer recipe!
