I’m not going to lie…I indulge over the holidays. After all, it only comes once a year! But now that Christmas is over, I’m ready to cut back on the goodies, so this cute little cookbook is going to come in handy as it has better portion sizes for me.

Mini Versions of Your Favorite Baked Delights

Before Christmas, I made the Cranberry Orange Rolls on page 33.
I made the dough as directed and let it rise. I rolled it out and spread the filling (butter, brown sugar, orange zest, and cinnamon) on both halves.
I placed some fresh, chopped cranberries over the filling evenly.
I rolled up each piece lengthwise.
I cut the rolls into 1″ segments and placed them in the pan.
I let them rise again.
Then I baked them for about 20 minutes. When they cooled a bit, I drizzled them with the glaze.
I loved the orange and cranberry flavor! We ate them while they were a little warm. I liked the small size, but I wish the rolls came out lighter and less dense.
I’m looking forward to trying more mini recipes such as Cannoli, Strawberry Cream Eclairs, Apple Pie Cookies, Blackberry Lime Meringue Pie, Baked Glazed Chocolate Donuts, Jelly Donuts, and Boston Cream Yippie Pies!

I try not to but I indulge!
I hate to admit, but I always allow myself to indulge on desserts!
Ate a little too much chocolate this holiday season. Looks like the doggies will be getting extra long walks to make up for the snacking.
If I am being strict on Weight Watchers can stay away from the desserts. If I have not been strict I can’t leave them alone.

The holidays come once a year, I celebrate, bake and eat. Then I cut back.
I am always careful about what I eat. I don’t want to go over board!
I enjoy sampling all the new goodies that are around only during this time of year but also limit how much I indulge. It’s easy to reason to only taste a little now and to cut back after but somehow that day is moved back further and further.
Guilty, I over indulge, I still trying to cut back :)

With the amount of cookies/candy/etc. I fix, there’s no avoiding it and honestly, I don’t much try to torture myself by doing so.
It’s all about trying mini portions of the desserts. But overall, when you add them all up, I indulge!!
