The baking season is among us and December 4th is National Cookie Day, so what better way to celebrate then with Krusteaz cookie mixes.  I know myself I do a lot of baking and I love using a good quality mix to help me out.  It takes a lot of time off my hands without sacrificing the taste.  Plus they’re so simple to make so I can give the kids a box, and they can bake up a batch of cookies by themselves.

Krusteaz Cookies

Krusteaz was kind enough to send me this wonderful gift package that included an apron, tote bag, cookie cutters, frosting decorating pen and a mason jar (for gifting and storage!).  Along with two boxes of the following mixes: Shortbread, Gingerbread, Snickerdoodle, Butter Vanilla Sugar and Oatmeal Scotchie.  It’s the perfect way to start the holiday season, and guess what?  I get to give one of you the exact same package so you’ll be all set to start your holiday baking…enter below!

The snowflake cookie cutters are so cute, but I must say, the E-Z Deco icing pen is amazing!  It’s so easy and fun to use.  I just mixed up my icing, put it in the bag and was decorating up a storm.  The kids used it too and they had no problem at all.  We decided to take a Butter Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix and add some cocoa powder to it; we rolled out the dough and then cut out some snow flakes.  I wanted a contrasting color so I made blue icing, and they turned out adorable.

We put some in clear bags, put on adorable labels and gave them out to our family and friends to celebrate National Cookie Day and the Holiday Baking Season!

I would bake the shortbread first. My FAVORITE holiday cookie! I love Krusteaz mixes and have since I was a tweener. :)

That’s a hard choice they are all good. Childhood favorite is Snickerdoodle but my girls would love to make the snow flakes sugar cookies.

I would probably make the Snickerdoodles first. I like to take plain cookies and add in dried fruit and nuts to change them completely.

I would bake the oatmeal scotchies first, but there is no guarantee the butterscotch chips will survive long enough to make it into the cookies.
