I was recently asked by The J.M Smucker Company to create some unique tips for using a product and I wanted to share it with you!

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and every year the “Valentine’s Day Duck” leaves a few goodies on the table for everyone.  This is a tradition my parents started when I was little, and now I continue it on with my own kids.  They love waking up, running downstairs and seeing what they got.  However this year will be the first year that all four kids won’t be here.  My oldest is in college so he’ll be spending it there, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be getting anything.  I, or should I say, the Valentine’s Day Duck had to come up with a different gift to send to him.  Thankfully I always have Pillsbury™ Brownie mixes in my pantry so I whipped up a batch of Brownie Crinkle cookies.  I knew these cookies would travel well, taste delicious, and be the perfect treat to make his Valentine’s Day special.

When you mix these up you’ll notice that the batter will be quite thick, but don’t worry, that’s how it’s supposed to be.  This makes it quite easy to make a ball of dough and roll it in the powdered sugar.

Once you roll the dough into a ball, you drop it into the powdered sugar, bake it up and then you have these neat little cookies.  I love how they turn out with all the crinkles, and the powdered sugar doesn’t melt into the cookie either.

I went to the cake store, picked up this adorable heart container and packed them full of cookies!  I then tied a big red bow on it and shipped it off.  I can’t wait for him to get them.  Even though he can’t be here, he knows that we love and miss him.  It’s my way to #MixUpAMoment for the one I love!  If you’d like to make these you can pick up some mixes from Walmart and make sure you use this coupon too.
