Hi everyone.
It sure was a tough week.
I hope all of you are doing okay.
For those of you who don’t know, I live about an hour west of Boston.
My oldest son Matthew lives and works in Boston.
Thank God he had to work the day of the Boston Marathon.
We were happy to hear that he didn’t have to go to work on Friday.
I was on vacation last week. I was glued to the television as most of you were.
I’m so proud of how the community of Boston came together
and couldn’t be more thankful for all of the members of the law enforcement that were involved.
I will never forget the people who lost their lives,
nor the people who were physically and emotionally injured.
Matthew came home yesterday and I brought him back to Boston this afternoon.
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t love the idea of bringing him back.
Even though he’s 23 years old, he’s still my boy.
You know what made me feel better as I drove out of Boston?
It was a beautiful sunny day.
I drove along the Charles River and saw something normal…
several people were rowing on the river.
And people were going for walks.
This “normal” site just lifted me up.
Life will get back to normal. It just takes a little time.
