0As a member of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I was one of the lucky bloggers chosen to sample a Smithfield Paula Deen Crunchy Glazed Spiral Sliced Ham! I also received a $250 stipend from Smithfield to put towards my holiday dinner! That sure came in handy! Thanks Smithfield! 
I received a fresh 8.5 lb ham delivered right to my door!
Yesterday, my parents joined us for a great New Year’s ham dinner!
First, I covered my baking dish with aluminum foil for an easy clean up and placed the ham cut side down.
I covered and cooked the ham as directed (325°F for 10 -12 minutes per pound). After warming up the Paula Deen glaze in the microwave, Dave brushed the glaze all over the ham 15 minutes before the ham was done. I returned the ham to the oven (uncovered) until the glaze was nice and crunchy!
Isn’t she a beauty! My family couldn’t say enough about this ham! It was juicy and delicious!
For side dishes, I made Scalloped Potatoes and asparagus.
This is my plate, but I went back for seconds! 😉

We had homemade Date Nut Bread and coffee for dessert…
followed by a slightly competitive game of Sequence!

The ham looks delicious! Let me get this straight, you went back for seconds? There goes my theory that you are as thin as you are because you must not eat a lot! lol! It must be in the genes!….The rest of us are wondering how we are going to stick to our New Year’s resolutions and drop 20 lbs by the summer! Happy New Year!

I love ham, but my daughter won’t eat it. One of these days, though, I’m going to get some and bake it and just have a feast!!! (She can eat the sides! LOL)

We wanted to try Smithfield Paula Deen Crunchy Glazed Spiral Ham, so we got one only to find that the glaze was missing when we got home. We were so disapointed not getting to try the glaze from Paula. I am sure it has to be very good and one day soon maybe we can try an get one and try it . We love the Smithfield hams so I bet the glaze makes it even better.
