The recipes in this cookbook use three different methods of cooking mini donuts: the donut pan, the mini-donut machine, and the frying method.
- The donut pan produces a mini donut with a light, airy, cupcake-like texture.
- The mini-donut machine creates a more dense cakelike donut with a perfectly rounded top.
- The frying method, either in a deep fryer or deep pan with hot oil, creates a donut very similar to those you most often find in a donut shop.
Don’t these donuts look delish?

Well, you know I’m a sucker for anything “pumpkin” flavored! So I had to give the Pumpkin Spice with Cinnamon-Maple Glaze Mini Donuts (on page 112) a try!
I used a couple of donut pans for this recipe.
It’s easy to fill the donut pans if you use a pastry bag with no tip.
The donuts baked up nicely in 7-9 minutes!
The donuts were moist, light, and delicious! Can’t wait to try more recipes!
There are some great baked donut recipes in this book that I can make for my second grade students! They’re going to love them! Especially if I have them decorate their own donut!

I’ve never had a baked one, would love to do this with my granddaughters!
I have had both. I like baked best. Never made my own, but those recipes sound so good.
I prefer fried but baked is easier to do at home and less messy :)

When I make them at home I prefer baked. But love the donuts at the donut shops for a once in a while treat…which are fried.
My family loves to buy donuts from the bakery but need to start eating lighter. Baking the donuts would be a step towards that area. It seems like any of the recipes would be delicious.
I have made both and my family likes both baked and fried. I like to do the baked though for something fast so I do not have to wait for the rising of the yeast!
Love them both!
I have never made homemade donuts & would totally love to have this book to help with making them!!!
I did make baked donuts one time. They tasted like a muffin. Could of been the recipe I used. The lemon sounds good.
Oops!!! Forgot to say I really like fried, but maybe a good recipe could change my mind.
I’m going with… baked.
I am on a search for a great collection of baked donuts. My granddaughters love them. The youngest asked but where are the donut holes?

I preferred fried….some things just taste better fried :)
I like both! Fried of course has that wonderful touch of grease in your mouth that feels so indulgent as you eat it. Baked has a more cake like texture that goes so well with coffee. I’ve never made either so it would be fun to make the baked variety! :)
Fried is what I am used to. Never tried the baked. Would love to win. Thanks.
Fried.
I have never made donuts but love to eat them. I would love to make my own. Great for the kids to help with too!

I prefer fried but I would bake them.
I have never had baked donuts before so I couldn’t totally say which I prefer, however, I don’t eat many donuts due to the fact that they are fried so baked would be a good alternative. I love donuts!
Hmmmm, I am not sure I guess. I love the Krispy Kreme yeasty glazed doughnuts, but I also love the cake doughnuts at places like Dunkin Donuts. I guess I just love doughnuts!
Ive never tried a baked one, but we’d love to try to make some :)
