I know I’ve told you guys a bunch of times…Italian food is my favorite cuisine! I think my heart skipped a beat when I was asked to review Buddy Valastro’s new Italian cookbook! Buddy is so talented! I really enjoy watching him on TV.
Some of the best recipes are the ones that are passed down from generation to generation, so I can’t wait to try some of the recipes from Buddy’s grandmother!
I made Buddy’s Rigatoni “alla Vodka” on page 163. Holy cow! This is so good! It’s a simple tomato sauce with some whipped heavy cream folded in. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it has fresh basil and pieces of prosciutto in the sauce. What a great combination of flavors! Can’t wait to make it for my boys over the holidays!
I also made the Pasta with Ham, Peas, and Cream on page 171. This was delicious too! Another great dish that takes less than 30 minutes to make!
I’m looking forward to cooking my way through this book! There’s a little bit of everything- Appetizers, Salads, Pizza, Soup, Pasta, Main Courses, Sides and Desserts.
