The National Egg Month Sweepstakes will be hosted on its own tab on Teflon®’s Facebook page from May 1- May 31. Participants can go to the tab and sign up to win daily prizes and if they refer friends, they’ll be entered to win a weekly grand prize (links to prizes below). There is also a fun quiz titled “What does your egg say about you?” Fans select their favorite type of egg and are told their “egg personality.” I selected OMELETTE and this is what it said:

While the filling of your eggs may change from time to time, you are a creature of habit. You’re a traditionalist and prefer to stick to a routine. You’re loyal, dependable and trustworthy.

I’d say that describes me pretty well!

Daily Facebook Prizes (will alternate between these two products):

· Farberware Nonstick Aluminum Triple Pack Skillets

· Farberware Premium Professional Dishwasher Safe 11″ Square Griddle

REVIEW

I was inspired by the National Egg Month theme and tested out my Farberware pans by making omelettes for my family.

First, I browned some turkey bacon in the sauté pan.  I really like the high sides of this pan so the food doesn’t splatter onto the stove.  The nonstick dimpled finish looks so modern and performed really well when cooking any of the food on this page.

I browned some green pepper and onion in a little bit of butter in the 10-inch skillet.

I heated a bit of butter in an 8-inch skillet over medium-low heat. I scrambled two eggs and poured it into the hot pan. Then I added the peppers, onions, bacon and thin slices of cheese. I cooked the omelette 3/4 of the way through in the skillet before flipping it in half.

The omelette slid easily on the pan so I had no problem sliding a spatula under the eggs to flip it over.

Another couple of minutes of cooking on each side and they came out great!

I used 3 different Farberware pans to make the omelettes (one for the turkey bacon, one for the peppers and onions, and one for the omelettes).  I was very happy with the pans and would like to mention that the pans are very light and easy to maneuver on the stove.  I LOVE the contoured rubber handles!  They’re cool to the touch and easy to grip.  These pans are actually dishwater safe and I can use metal utensils if I have to.  That’s a plus!  This is a nice, affordable cookware set!
