As a member of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I was asked to share how I use Kraft Singles in my cooking.
One of my quick “go to” meals is an egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich. I make them for my family any time of the day when we’re on the run and need something in less than 30 minutes. I fry 1 or 2 eggs per person, top it with a slice of Kraft Single American cheese, and let it melt on top. I heat up some refrigerated, cooked bacon in the microwave, toast an English muffin, and put this sandwich together in no time! Good stuff!
Everything tastes better with melted cheese!
Another recipe that I make from time to time is a hot ham and cheese braided sandwich.
I unroll half of the crescent rolls from one package, top it with deli ham and one slice of Kraft Singles American cheese.
I cut the crescent rolls into strips like so, and braid as shown.
I brush it with an egg wash (1 scrambled egg), sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning, and bake at 375º F for 15-20 minutes until the dough is browned and cooked through.
And of course, we’ve been topping our burgers (forever) with Kraft Singles!
Oh, and I can’t forget all of the grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve made over the years using Kraft Singles. I always paired them with a yummy bowl of tomato soup! Ummm! I love that combination!

I make grilled cheese sandwiches with Kraft cheese slices.
Kraft singles are used in oh so many ways in my kitchen. Usually to top something off - quesadillas, burgers, eggs, etc. I am wild about your ham and cheese braided sandwich! I have everything to make that and will do that soon. OH my!
Wow! I just found your blog and the “Hot Ham and Cheese Braided Sandwich” you made looks easy, fast and delicious for my husband and son for lunch! I just subscribed to your blog! Thanks for the great idea! Can’t wait to make it for them!
Occasionally for breakfast I would use a package of crescent rolls (8) 4 for each sandwich. Scramble eggs and cook till still lightly moist. Put 2 rolls as the base top with scrambled eggs. Top with cheese, ham, cooked bacon, etc . . . Whatever you like. Use 2 rolls as the topper sealing the edges. Back till light golden brown. Great breakfast sandwich.
Also have done this with lunch meat and cheese for lunch or a quick dinner.
Sounds delicious!
Can this be made with Malaysian parata instead od crescent roll
I’m not sure what type of dough that is, however if it’s flaky it should be okay.
I took it a step further and made a bacon/sausage/beef/pepperoni/cheese calzone!
I love Kraft American Cheese open facers. I toast an english muffin or a piece of toast, top it with a slice of KAC and broil it. You have to watch it. As soon as it makes a big bubble, pull it out. Too long and it’s burned, too little and it doesn’t taste the same.
Made this with honey ham and provolone cheese. I did not add any spices. This was good my family said. Next time I will try with garlic powder sprinkled on top.
