Delicious on a Dime
From the Editors of All You
With college tuition for four more years and the kitchen being remodeled, I feel like I should do my part to save money wherever I can. So this cookbook couldn’t come at a better time!
Each recipe comes with a “Cost Per Serving” and nutritional information. I love that!
I made the Scalloped Potatoes on page 155. It was delicious! I think we’re big eaters…in other words…our portion sizes are too big! We got 4 servings out of this instead of 8. I like the recipe though and would gladly make it again!
I made the Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies on page 171.
Cost per serving: 39¢
yield: 16 brownies
They were very decadent!
This book has beautiful, appetizing pictures for each recipe. There’s nothing complicated and it’s definitely family-friendly.
The All You food editors have gathered the best of the magazine’s recipes for this cookbook. The recipes have common ingredients that you would find in any grocery store. I have bookmarked many more recipes to try!
You can find Delicious on a Dime at Amazon.com.

I watch the sales, and also utilize my daughter’s employee discount for store brand items at the grocery she works at. I try to use coupons but we buy mostly fresh produce and meats which do not have coupons.
I don’t usually do coupons, but I watch the weekly sale adds and plan my meals from that.
I always use coupons and price match! To me, every little bit counts. I will buy generic/store brand but not always.
Those brownies look sooo good! I love cookbooks and new recipes!
Love the fact they put the cost per serving in!! So helpful to figure things out on a budget!!! WOOHOO!
Money is so tight for our family. This would be the perfect cookbook when money is tight. The family wouldn’t get sick of the same old boring things. Eat like kings without spending like it :)
I always use coupons and stock up when items are BOGO and I have coupons to match.
I love cookbooks with delicous recipes to make but on a shoestring budget. The scalloped potatoes and brownies look so yummy! I would love to win this cookbook.
I would love to win.
I always use coupons with sales- I’ve saved a lot of money that way. I also freezer cook - I’ve never menu planned though
I use sales, stock up when things are on sale and shop clearance.
I use coupons from time to time. My local grocery does have buy one get one free and that is where i tend to save a considerable amount of money. No i dont plan meals around sales since i feel that i have received the best pricing to begin with and then simply cook what we enjoy from that.
we do meal planning & coupons… & make ahead meals… I just wish I could get a pet cow… ;-)

I like to watch sales and use coupons. Right now meal planning tends to be around the garden and we also save by growing our own beef and laying hens for eggs :-)
These recipes do look delicious.
The Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies sound delicious!!!
Those brownies look fabulous!
I use coupons when I can. I always look at all the local sale circulars and that helps me choose some recipes I’m wanting to make. I often purchase meat and produce from the markdown area of my local supermarkets to freeze for later use or to use up quickly.
I use coupons, and then plan my meals around the sales!
I try to use coupons and shop the sales. I try to buy “quick sell” meat at lower prices and freeze it for later. I shop at the bread outlet store (65cents for a large loaf!!!). The little things add up.
I use coupons and the weekly specials.

I really don’t do weekly planning. Just write down ingredients to make sure I have for some meals here and there. I also do cut coupons and use them.
I check the sales, and meal plan. It would be better if I coupon. I know how, just need to find space for my stockpile.
Use coupons, plan ahead, buy in bulk, match coupons to sales.
Yes, I do coupons. I love it when I can get a manufacture and a target coupon for each item!
i use coupons.
I use coupons and price matching.
I “try” to use coupons but my husband only likes certain brands so it makes it difficult.
I use coupons as much as I can. I haven’t tried meal planning yet but it is something I would like to try. I just need to get more organized!

I do weekly meal planning based around sales

I try buying items that are on sale and also use coupons.
I use lots of coupons and stock up when things are on sale.
I use coupons religiously and then double ones, when appropriate at our area Homeland. I save usually half our food bill (roughly 49%) through coupons and watching sales. All the different blogs that watch sales really help with this and cut the time that I am personally doing that.
I meal plan for a month and do one big shopping trip. I also use coupons and meal plan around what is in my pantry and what is on sale.
I use alot of coupons.
I subscribe to your blog
I make a monthly menu and shop for everything that can be frozen or on the shelf once a month. All fresh fruit, veggies and milk are weekly. I also use coupons. Thanks for the chance to enter.
I use coupons, but not very often.
I never trust serving sizes especially with my husband. His serving sizes are 3 times larger than mine and somehow he manages to stay a skinny man while I wear everything he eats. :) Just from these 2 dishes, this does look like an exactly book! Good luck with your kitchen remodel! Mine is getting finished up this week hopefully.
I think I’d have to double all the recipes for my family!
I’m excellent at saving money at the grocery store and anywhere else for that matter - I now consider myself a pro - I use multiple coupons and plan my trips by whats on sale - and only buy that - either I use the $5 of $50 or the $5 off $30 coupons from Winn Dixie at Publix and I stop within $1 - $2 of that mark and that’s it for the week - if I have (2) $5 off $30 I will break my order up. Even though I might buy something this week - I don’t necessarily eat it this week, I freeze it and have a good stock pile of everything and am constantly replishing that as I go. I have become an excellent shopper with the help of sites like yours and I constantly give others advise and info - so thanks so much for that
I use coupons when I can, only buy items on sale (95% of the time) and plan meals weekly.
I try to use them when I can, and yes I am in charge of meals.
I basically look at the weekly in store ads and go from there!
Always use coupons!
I’m probably about average. I stock up during sales, shop on double coupon days, take advantage of online coupons and discounts, etc. I do splurge on cravings once in awhile, but nothing that would break my piggy bank. ;)
I try and meal plan and always use coupons if I have them.
I use a weekly meal planner that has a shopping list attached, it helps with budgeting and making sure I have everything I need when preparing a dish. I use coupons and also the public library to borrow cookbooks.
coupons like crazy!
I use coupons and buy things on sale.
I shop sales. Look for clearance items (yes even food) I coupon some but not a whole lot.
Usually limit myself to only a few ingredients and see what I can come up with, Usually buy items on sale mostly produce and dairy.
I try to use coupons, when I remember, but I usually forget, and no, I’m not that great at saving money, I could definitely use the tips.
I plan weekly meals and if I find good coupons I use them
I shop the sales and use coupons and I plan my meals around that.
I use coupons and try to plan my meals for the week based on sales.
Thank you!
I use coupons and plan my meals around the weekly sales.
I am not very good with coupons, but I do buy stuff on sale, buy in bulk at Costco, and cook ahead and freeze. This cookbook would be a great addition to my meal planning.
I like to shop with a menu in mind and I shop sales.
I shop the sale flyer at my local grocery store.
I shop the ads and cook in quantity so we have leftovers (refrigerator & freezer) to keep us from giving in to the urge to go out to eat.
When grocery shopping I just started using coupons…but havent quite figured it out yet.. I have had a few trips where I got some great deals using them then a few others where I felt like I spent way more just to use them haha.. I am still working at it though I am determind to figure it out.. I am a stay at home mom now and we all know on one income things can get tight..so me figuring it out is how I want to help out and give back..that and make great meals for my family since I have the time.. and with meal planning.. I have tried but no luck.. I dont plan it out well.. I need help with that.. I feel like its usually a last minute throwing everything together then realizing I am needing to run to the store for an ingredient. and the closest store to us is EXPENSIVE! any tips would be so helpful..Thanks!
Oh and would love this book! haha
Planning meals and going to the grocery are my WORST chores!!! I need help and this book just might be what I need!!! Blessings! and I really want to win it!
I use as many coupons as I can when shopping and also plan my dinners around other stuff I have in the fridge/freezer/pantry.
I look at the ads and ask my store to match the price (and they do). Thanks for the giveaway!
