Who wouldn’t want a cookbook with all these popular snacks in it?  When I first saw this cookbook on line, the foodie in me got all excited!

 Classic Snacks Made from Scratch

70 Homemade Versions of Your Favorite Brand-Name Treats

By Casey Barber

I’m so impressed with the familiar recipes in this cookbook.  Here is a list of some of them:  Nutter Butters, Oreos, Mint Milanos, Graham Crackers, Entenmann’s Donuts, Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes, Twinkies, Devil Dogs, Cheez-Its, Goldfish Crackers, Nacho and Cool Ranch Doritos, Cheetos, Wheat Thins, Klondike Bars, Strawberry Fruit Roll-Ups, Sour Patch Kids, Peeps, Fig Newtons, Hostess/Drake’s Cherry Pie, Strawberry Pop-Tarts, Table Talk Lemon Pie, Tater Tots, French Onion Dip, and Pimento Spread.

The photos in this book are mouthwatering!  If that list didn’t get your attention, check out some of the photos/recipes in this cookbook!

Strawberry Pop Tarts

McDonald’s Apple Pie

I made two recipes from this cookbook so far.

These Nutter Butter cookies taste just like the store bought version!  The only difference is that the peanut butter filling is  more creamy.  I shared them with my colleagues at work and they loved them.  I will be making these again!

I never made crackers before, so I had to try the Cheez-Its.  I can’t believe how easy they are to make!  They came out great! The only difference is that they have a stronger sharp cheddar taste.
I highly recommend this cookbook.  It is so much fun to recreate my favorite store bought snacks!  The directions are super easy and I am impressed with what I have made so far.
