What a great Christmas! I got some pretty special gifts!
Dave and I got this awesome poster from our oldest son Matthew! Matthew traveled around the world last Spring with Semester at Sea. The message on the poster says, “Thank You Mom and Dad for Giving Me the World.” Do you need a tissue? Because we did when we saw this!
This is where the pictures were taken:
THANK - Brazil
YOU - Japan
MOM - Mauritius
AND - China
DAD - Hawaii
FOR - Viet Nam
GIVING - India
ME - South Africa
THE - Ghana
WORLD - Florida (USA) We met Matthew in Florida when he got off the ship and the 4 of us spent some time at Universal Studios together.
This poster is so precious! While Dave and I were filled with worry and excitement for Matthew for the duration of his trip, he had the time of his life and we’re so glad he had this experience. You can read all about his adventure if you go to the “MY Life” tab.
Andrew gave us a really great gift also! He gave us concert tickets to see the Mighty Mighty Bosstones in Boston next week! I love that he wanted to give us a “date night” out and he paid for it himself (now that he has a part-time job!) Both gifts were really thoughtful and we really appreciate them!
Dave gave me this beautiful wooden bowl that he bought during his recent business trip to San Diego along with some great accessories for our new camera!
For Christmas Eve, I made the Doiron Family Apple Squares! (I’ll post the recipe soon!)
Isn’t he a cutie? This is my “Great” nephew! We spent some time with him on Christmas Eve.
I love this picture of my niece Jordyn! She’s stacking up her gifts and getting ready to tear them open!
Here’s another cutie! This is my “Great” niece! It was fun watching her play with her new gifts.
Now that Christmas is over, I’m going to enjoy a week off from school! How was your Christmas?
Jane,
I LOVE that poster. I felt myself tearing up. You need to have that framed! (My Dad does framing!)
It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas! Enjoy your vacation!
That is wonderful. Merry Christmas! Susieqtpies
Oh Jane - how wonderful for you to share these glorious gifts and family pictures! No doubt, you’ll get that VERY thought-filled poster framed. What lovely gifts for sure! Enjoy a restful week of vacation and a Happy New Year to you and yours!!!
