THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED!
Okay foodies…I have another fun giveaway for ya! Check out this Chef Choice Pizzelle Maker! It’s the 835 Model, to be exact.
The nice folks from Chef Choice sent me this Pizzelle Maker to review and they’re giving away the same model to one of my readers!
I have always wanted to make Pizzelles, so now I can cross this off my culinary list of things to try! I made my first batch on Mother’s Day morning. My family loved them!
The Pizzelle Maker heats up incredibly fast. You can make 3 Pizzelles in less than 60 seconds!
All you need is one tablespoon of batter for each Pizzelle. Then press down tight. The cookies lifted right out! I didn’t even use nonstick spray.
Aren’t they pretty? I trimmed them with a knife to make them nice and round. I can’t believe how easy and fast it is to make them!
Check out this fun and delicious recipe from Chef Choice!
Wouldn’t these be fun to make at your summer parties?
You could make the pizzelles ahead of time!
S’mores On Pizzelles Recipe from Chef’sChoice®
Indoor s’mores on pizzelles are easy to make and delightful to partake! No muss, no fuss or waiting to gather around a campfire because these delicious s’mores from Chef’sChoice® can be made at home and enjoyed all year round! They’re quick and easy to make and taste fabulous whether you serve them hot or frozen!
Pizzelles (makes 75 pizzelles):
3 eggs
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 tsps. baking powder
1 tsps. vanilla
¾ cups sugar
1. Beat eggs until smooth. Add oil and vanilla. Sift flour and baking powder onto mixture. Add sugar and blend all dry ingredients into egg mixture until smooth. The mixture will be sticky and stiff. Test by dropping mixture from a small teaspoon onto pizzelle plate. As needed, add a few tablespoons of water so that mix drops conveniently as a ribbon in two or three seconds. If mix is too thin, add a few tablespoons of flour.
2. Preheat pizzelle maker. For best results, use the Chef’sChoice PizzellePro™ Model 835 and set color dial to 3 or 3 1/2. When using other pizzelle makers, check manufacturer’s directions.
Chocolate and Marshmallows (serves 6):
1 bag regular sized marshmallows
6 1.5 ounce milk chocolate bars.
12 pizzelles
Place 1/2 a chocolate bar each on six pizzelles. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 12 x 12 ceramic or glass pan with cooking oil and fill with marshmallows. Bake for eight minutes until lightly browned on top. Scoop out 2-3 marshmallows and place on pizzelles, cover with pizzelle. The marshmallows will melt the chocolate, but if you like your chocolate really melted, place in microwave for several seconds before placing on pizzelles. Eat them hot and freeze some for later!
The Chef Choice Pizzelle Maker is available at Amazon.com.

(PS - Pizzelles were a family tradition growing up. My grandmother made them for every christmas. Then as her grandkids started becoming adults, she went out and bought 10 pizzelle irons [they were like $80 each then] and gave them as christmas presents to certain family and friends. I was still too young in her eyes but I got her iron when she died.)

I love Rafflecopter…it’s much easier and faster to enter giveaways that way. I don’t know about the back end for the host if it is user friendly. But Rafflecopter is definitely user friendly for the readers who enter giveaways. 🙂 I would love to see you have it since you host giveaways very often. Hope it’s easy to use on your end too.

i like rafflecopter especially with easy entries but i hear lots of people cheat so i dont like that and sometimes it is hard because you might not mean to cheat or look like cheating because there is no way to confirm certain things like a different email or the twitter links don’t work properly. But overall I do like the way to enter it keeps things confidential too!
I agree it is easy to miss a link or just put the wrong info in but I did have one blogger who spotted my mistake and gave me a chance to correct. I did not mean to do this at all!
i tweeted https://twitter.com/Serenefairy_2/status/204907374253834241

I’m kind of ambivalent about Rafflecopter. We don’t have to do an addition to use it 😉 and it logs in pretty easily. I feel like the bloggers who are using it are assigning crazy numbers of entrys for each task though, so you look at a contest and it has multiple thousands of entries. That’s silly IMO.

I enjoy entering giveaway with Rafflecopter, since it does seem to simplify entries…I don’t have to type as much and I don’t have to scroll up and down to see what the extra entries are and then leave comments. Sometimes Rafflecopter takes a while to load or I have troubles with it, but for the most part, I think it’s worth it 🙂

I like Rafflecopter.
I like using Rafflecopter it makes it faster to enter giveaways but one downfall that I don’t like about Rafflecopter is that you cannot edit once you hit submit, sometimes my fingers are faster than my brain and I end up hitting submit and all the info isn’t there or when I copy and past using ctrl and V sometimes only the v end up in the form and before I know it I hit submit..I tell you I don’t know how many times I’ve done that..the blogger probably thinks I’m cheating..wish there was an edit button.

I think Rafflecopter is convenient when you are entering contests. I’ve also seen one called Giveaway Tools that I really like. I don’t really like the various points they sometimes assign different entries. I’m guessing it’s to make stats better for a site and the number of visits, but I think at the same time it discourages people from entering the contest as well.

I like the rafflecopter as long as it is not too very long! I guess if you make the points worth less (like 1 point for each thing) it works better than making them worth 25 pts each.

I like Rafflecopter personally, it makes running giveaways easy because you can create a template and not have to worry about typing everything out each time then just change the sponsors and you are set. Entering with Rafflecopter is easy too and you will notice lots more entries but less page views.
I use Giveaway Tools though because its a lot easier on me. Some like it and others don’t but they did the same thing with Rafflecopter when it first started. The drawback to Rafflecopter is that you still have to confirm everything with Giveaway Tools you don’t. It verifies all the entries and wont let entrants click they did it if they did not. It also verifies if they are the winner for following that they do indeed follow. It prevents a lot of cheating and makes me not to have worry about verifying everything because it does it all for me. Less time consuming.

I don’t like Rafflecopter. I sign in, answer the question in the comments and then have to sign in again. But I will still follow you no matter what you do.

I personally prefer Rafflecopter or Linkies. I personally use Rafflecopter and it is the same moderation regardless, just makes it quicker for the people to enter.

I really like Rafflecopter, but more people will enter if you use RC… so if people enter by comments, I have a better chance! hehe

I like Rafflecopter a lot. the only problem I have with it is that on some blogs (the Google ones I think, not this one) I have a commenter name that I have had for years that is not the same as my real name, or the shortened version of my real name that I am using here. So, I think that a lot of times the comments can’t be connected to the person with Rafflecopter.

Rafflecopter, when used correctly, can simplify giveaway entries!

I like rafflecopter! I also follow you thanks for the great tips and giveaway!
I prefer this way - I actually enjoy reading comments. Rafflecopter is fast but the entries end up being some crazy high number which discourages me from entering.
