Okay foodies…I have a fun kitchen tool to review today! Do you have a Chef Basket? Have you ever seen the Chef Basket commercial?
The Chef Basket has many uses on the stove. It’s great for cooking, boiling, deep frying, steaming, poaching, blanching, and par-boiling. You can use it as a colander for rinsing, washing, draining, straining, and storing food. Check out this video!
The folks from Chef Basket sent me one of these to try out. The first time I used the Chef Basket in my kitchen, I boiled some frozen pasta.
It fits nicely in my big sauce pot.
It’s easy to remove from the pot and dare I say… fun to use!
I love that you can flatten out the Chef Basket so it can be stored easily in the kitchen cabinet. That’s a plus with my limited storage space. I make fruit salad quite a bit and find it pretty handy for rinsing my fruit. I have also used the Chef Basket to cook our broccoli and squash.
I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of this Chef Basket! I’m giving it 2 thumbs up! It’s a great kitchen tool!
The Chef Basket is available HERE at for $14.99. Check out the current internet special. For other TeleBrands products, visit TeleBrands.com.
*I received a free Chef Basket for the purpose of this review. The opinions in this post are 100% my own.
I have seen the commercial on TV and thought it looked pretty neat, so when I saw it at Walmart in the “As Seen On TV” section, I bought one. I used it for hard boiled eggs and another time for boiled potatoes. Worked great! Buying it at Walmart saved me the postage, and I didn’t have to wait for it to come in the mail!
This looks very easy to use. I’ve seen commericials and saw them in stores. I make a lot of pasta and raviolli so this could be useful.
The chef basket would come in handy for hard-boiling all of those white eggs for Easter! It does look handy and easy to use!
I’m not real familiar with this gadget, but your ideas are great and your photos awesome! Thanks for sharing another helpful idea.
WoW! Glad to hear you like it. I’ve debated over it. Debate is now over. Off to get one of my own!!
I saw this ad on tv and thought it would really help me this summer when blanching tomatoes and other veggies for canning. I saw one at Dollar General a couple of weeks ago. It’s much smaller that it looks on tv and it’s very cheaply made. I wouldn’t pay $4.95 for this much less $14.95.
