For my July “Cans Get You Cooking” blog post, I have the easiest way to fix pork chops using 2 cans of Campbell’s Golden Pork Gravy!  I got the idea from my sister Laura.  We had a conversation one day about my lack of pork chop recipes and she suggested this recipe.

Okay, this really isn’t much of a recipe, but it is SO GOOD!

Take a look!

All you need to do is season the pork chops with salt and pepper, melt a teaspoon of butter in the pan over medium heat, brown the chops on both sides, and add the gravy.  Simmer for an hour and a half (flipping the chops over half way through the cooking time).

Dave and I love it!  You could also add a can of (drained) mushrooms if you’d like at the end.  You’ve got to make mashed potatoes with this, it’s the best!

Did you know?

According to a University of California, Davis Study, many canned fruits and vegetables have the same nutrients as their fresh or frozen counterparts.

I love Chicken Stroganoff made in the crock-pot. It uses a can of cream of chicken soup, which I usually don’t like, but it works great in this recipe. Thanks!

I like to to take a can of French Onion Soup and pour it over pork steaks. (as few as two as many as eight). Add a half can of water. Bake at 350 F. for 45 to 60 min or until tender, The wonderful juice, add more broth if needed, can be thicken for gravy or used au jus with crusty French bread . This is so easy and has been a stand by for years. (Even people that don’t like onions have loved it, just don’t tell them what it is!) :)

I make chicken over noodles with cans of cream of asparagus, celery, mushroom, and/or chicken. I brown the chicken, add the soups, and then add sliced mushrooms and grated carrots. Then I let it simmer for about 45 minutes.
