THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER!

ANNOUNCING THE CALORIE CUTDOWN  EXCLUSIVE COOKBOOK GIVEAWAY!

Imagine your favorite “guilty pleasure” foods joining the ranks of healthy food: What if fried chicken was only 204 calories per serving, deep-dish pizza a mere 218, and Lobster Bisque only 181 calories? This is not black magic, but it comes close. Now Eat This is celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito’s cookbook that showcases 150 new options for eating your favorite no-no foods the healthy way, all at under 350 calories. I was so excited when I found a Shrimp Pad Thai recipe for only 291 calories versus the original at over 2,000! Plus he includes healthy tips and ingredient substitutions that are really helpful for your own favorite recipes.

I know you’re all running to Amazon.com to buy this healthy eating bible, but hang on because Rocco hooked me up with 2 signed copies of Now Eat This to give away to my readers!

Here’s how you can win your own signed copy of Now Eat This, signed by Rocco DiSpirito himself: Comment on this post and share with us your favorite indulgent dish and how many calories it costs you to enjoy it. I’ll pick 2 winners to receive the book and announce them on [Monday, November 22nd].

If you don’t win the cookbook, rest easy because Rocco shares healthy tips and recipes from his Twitter account, follow him @RoccoDiSpirito.  It’s like having a celebrity chef in the kitchen while you make dinner!

Hmmm, I love a good burger, and you can really kill yourslef on calories with a nice juicy one. I don’t think you can get away with under 300 . . . I’d love to find out how!

I love cheesecake, which is around 400 calories a slice, unless you get it at The Cheesecake Factory, and then it’s around 800 calories a slice. Yikes!

My favorite is the Tripple Chocolate Meltdown @ Abblebees…. I gain weight just saying the name of this yummy dessert…. It’s got a whopping 648 Calories !!

Fancy Mac & Cheese. There are 761 calories in it. I dont make it often because it is pretty high in calories and the dairy doesn’t agree with me, but I LOVE it.

Macaroni and cheese. The version I make has three cheeses in it + a Parmesan-bread crumb-butter topping. I don’t want to know how many calories it is because I *know* the total is high. Part of why I want Rocco’s cookbook is that I see that picture of mac & cheese on the cover, it looks like what I make and lower calories would be excellent.

I like the Tunnel of Fudge Cake but Kentucky Butter Cake is right at the top. Considering it has 2-3 sticks of butter and ~2c sugar, I don’t want to think about cal count!

I love the Chocolate lava cake with toffee bits and ice cream at a local restaurant. I have no idea what the calories are, but I’m sure it’s a lot!

Lasagna is an indulgent food as my friend makes it. I’m only guessing but I bet a serving is 800-900 calories. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway

I love French Onion Soup, which is about 550 calories. However, with the amount of cheese I love it probably bumps up to 800 calories.

I would definitely like to see a slimmed down version of Mac & Cheese that tastes creamy and satisfying. A serving of rich and creamy mac & cheese could easily be over 600 calories! I am talking about the good stuff!!!

My favorite dish is L A S A G N A! Yum! But all that Cheese, oh please, it equals hundreds of calories! I’m gonna guess about 1100 calories from a nice sized yummy square of decadent LASAGNA. Wow - ricotta, mozzarella, cheddar, and jack cheeses in a layered goodness of lasagna noodles and bolognese sauce, and more and more layers of oozy gooey cheesy goodness! Sorry…got a little carried away there :0) Oh well, what can i say..love my LASAGNA!

My favorite indulgent dish is probably tacos (I know not very fancy, but delicious). I am not sure how many calories as I load them down with tons of condiments but if I had to guess I would have to say 700 calories each! Yikes.
